VSP arrest erratic driver

BURLINGTON On April 28, at 11:10 p.m., Vermont State Police trooper Benjamin Katz observed a vehicle being driven erratically in Burlington. A subsequent stop was conducted and the operator, Tyler Ellison, age 20, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Ellison was subsequently arrested and taken to the state police barracks in Williston where he was processed for DUI and issued numerous traffic tickets, including failure to stop at a stop sign, no registration, and no insurance. Upon Ellisons release it was determined that the operator, who had come to pick up Ellison, was also under the influence of alcohol. The operator, Andre Lyons, age 19, of Essex, was arrested and processed for DUI. Lyons was also issued ticketed for operating with a suspended license. A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for underage consumption second offense. All three were then released to a parent.
