North Country protesters to follow anti-war movement across state

WATERTOWN Supporters of North Country Democracy for America, a grassroots political organization which meets in Plattsburgh, will participated in New York State Marches for Peace. The 10-day event which will be held Thursday, May 8, through Sunday, May 17 will consist of walks across the state to bring support to active duty soldiers and veterans against the Iraq War. Marches will begin near Rochester, Ithaca and Utica. The event will culminate with an appearance by NCDFA supporters at the Fort Drum Spring Festival at the Different Drummer Caf_located in the Paddock Arcade in downtown Watertown. Donations are needed for the event, including food, transportation and monetary contributions. Checks may be made payable to Citizen Soldier and sent to Citizen Soldier, 267 Fifth Avenue, #901, New York, N.Y. 10016. Donors are asked to write May March on the memo line of their check. North Country Democracy for America holds weekly demonstrations at Trinity Park in Plattsburgh.
