Locals are greening up

LEICESTER Vermont Green Up bags are available at the Town Office Monday through Thursday, and will also be available at the Town Shed Saturday morning. Residents may also call Kate Briggs at 802-247-5305 to make arrangements to get bags. Lem Palmer will have a trailer at the sand pile for folks to bring their bags. He will also do a road by road pick-up for bags and items that cannot be brought to the Leicester Town Shed. No appliances will be picked up. If residents have useable, workable appliances they can call the Addison County Solid Waste District at 802-300-2333 for more information about disposing of them. When residents bring bags to the trailer at the Town Shed, you will be given a ticket good for free lunch and drink sponsored by the historical society and the town. The other half of a residents ticket will enter that person into a raffle for a gift certificate to Cattails in Brandon.
