Midd Peewee B team wins second area tournament

MIDDLEBURY - Good things often come in small packages. In the case of local "peewee league" hockey, the Middlebury Peewee B Team was the perfect winning package made up of dedication, skill and strength. The Middlebury Peewee B team nabbed its second major victory during the 2007-08 peewee hockey season. The team's first victory took place at the 2008 Rutland Invitational. Flush with the Rutland victory, the B team's second victory came at the action-packed 2008 Skip Brush Tournament. "The B team won all games played with full heart and the the love of hockey," according to Assistant Coach Michael Vincent. "We spend six to seven months together. They all have fun at what they do and truly are creating friendships that will last a lifetime. The siblings of the players are also very committed. They are the biggest fans of their siblings, so they bring their own cheer squad." Helmets off and a high-five salute to all the Middlebury-area hockey families; may all their goals come true next year. Middlebury Peeweeb B 2007-08 roster: Will Vanburen (goalie), Devin Dwire, Nathan Lalonde (assistant captain), Kevin Galenkamp, Henry Birdsey (assistant captain), Luke Freidin, Eric Huestis, Sean Goodell, Cody Gendreau, Allen Vincent (captain).
