Local business expands computer services

CROWN POINT Crown Point Telephone has enhanced its services again with a computer specialist who offers repair services. Michael Bessler now offers server support, consulting, business support and web hosting, training and design. Relocating from Irvine, Calif., Bessler opened Bessler Computer Services in Ticonderoga in 2007 and has now joined forces with Crown Point Telephone in order to expand his services to the people. "We have been looking to offer computer services and possibly program training to the public," said Tony Macey, assistant general Manager of Crown Point Telephone Corporation. "Mike had glowing credentials and we knew he could offer a great deal to customers and non-customers alike," he added. "There is a growing need for computer specialists in this area." Keeping costs as low as possible for the customer, Bessler stated he would make house calls for $70 for the first hour and $55 an hour after that. Businesses will be charged $75 an hour. System analysis is $45 and never over a maximum of $90. "We want people to call on us when they have computer needs and we want to keep the prices as reasonable as possible," stated Macey. With plans to expand and perhaps offer training classes on how to use a computer and its software, Bessler and Macey continue to discuss the future of DSL services to potential customers outside of the Crown Point parameters. "We have people in Moriah and Port Henry that want to be hooked up to our DSL and as yet, we can't do it," said Macey. Macey contends, however, it has not been ruled out for the future.
