Three cheers for Rutland-area cheerleaders!

The Central Vermont Cheerleading Competition took place at the Keefe Gym at Rutland Intermediate School recently. Cara Austin, the Meeds Director, coordinated the day's events. The doors opened at 1:30 and the gymnasium filled to capacity with the preliminary judging continuing until about 3 p.m. Phat Kat Productions D.J. not only showcased the teams' choice of music but also kept the audience entertained with current and past popular songs. Before commencement, all stood to our National Anthem, and when Phat Kat Productions asked the crowd if they were ready, he repeated, "Let's here it again, or do we need to rely on the Poultney High School cheering crowd?" Great spirit and a supportive crowd permeated the gym.
