Saranac Lake Planning an exchange with French Sister City

SARANAC LAKE The Saranac Lake Sister City Association recently discussed the possibility of taking a delegation to visit its Sister City, Entrains-sur-Nohain in France. The trip is tentatively scheduled for next September. Last August, we welcomed about 15 people from Entrains, as well as a couple from our other Sister City, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts in Qu_c, said Sister City Association President Ned Long. This year, we thought it would be good for people from Saranac Lake to revisit Entrains as our last trip there was quite a while ago. People interested in participating in the trip can contact the Chamber at 891-1990 or by e-mail at info@saranaclake.com. In other business, the Sister City Association held its annual meeting in mid-January and voted on a slate of candidates to fill Board positions. The following have been named to the Board of Directors and include: Ned Long, President; Sylvie Nelson, Vice President; Marilyn Clements, Treasurer and Elizabeth Kochar, Secretary. The mandate of the association is to bring understanding and an exchange of culture between our sister cities. People interested in participating in the organization are welcome to contact the Chamber at the number and e-mail listed above. For more information, contact the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at 518-891-1990 or by e-mail at snelson@saranaclake.com.
