Guest speakers for the event are state Senator Elizabeth Little, Warren County District Attorney Kate Hogan, and Bolton resident Nancy Shane, survivors of breast cancer Sponsored by Bolton Girl Scout Troop #96, the event will be held in The Sagamores main dining room from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. The admission fee of $10 includes door prizes and light refreshments. Conceiving and organizing the auction event were three Bolton senior girl scouts, Kelsey Kneeshaw, Julia Mosscrop and Carly Snyder, scouters together since Kindergarten. Together they organized a Jam Camp craft day in 2002 for several troops in Warren County, earning the gighest award for Junior Girl Scouts. Then three years ago, they organized 2005 Girl Scout Day at the Great Escape -- Splashwater Kingdom, earning a similar award for Cadet Scouts. Julia, Kelsey and Carly also worked with other local scouts on the Breast Cancer Awareness project In the Pink. This program sends information home to the girls families in an effort to prompt discussion in the home about womens health. They also assisted in another community wellness event recently held in Chestertown that was arranged by Kate Hogan. For this silent auction many dresses were donated by BCS students in Classes 2005 through 2008. Local retail donors are Heidi's Shear Wizardry, New Image Salon, and Finishing Touches Florist, all of Bolton Landing. Other donors include Chad Waters-Smith Optics, Lake George Steamboat Company, Annette Chamberlain Alterations.
