Plan a "snow day" in Hancock

HANCOCKThe Middlebury College Snow Bowl celebrates the winter season with an afternoon of fun, games and even a parade all on snow. Set for Saturday, March 1, Fun Day is a great way to let your creative skills and spirits fly. Skiers and snowboarders are invited to spend the afternoon at the Snow Bowl testing their skills on an obstacle course, sleuthing their way through a scavenger hunt and gathering treats along the way. The event kicks off with a costume parade. Join us with anything from hilarious hats, funny faces to creative capes and full blown character costumes. Fun Day is the perfect way to exercise your enthusiasm for exploring exhilarating activities on snow, said Susan Davis, Director of the Snow School. While fun is the main focus, all of the activities are geared toward learning and giving students the opportunity to hone their skills. Skiers or snowboarders who signed up for any of this seasons Snow Bowl School lesson programs and wear their lesson name tags may use the lifts free of charge from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (March Spring Series registrants are also welcome.) The event is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Should the event be postponed the following Saturday, March 8th is the backup date (subscribe to snownews at www.middleburysnowbowl.com for the latest update of information).
