NCOC Looking for Gardeners

WEVERTOWN - North Country Outreach Center has received a grant to help implement a Community Garden. With the assistance of volunteers from the Cooperative Extension Master Gardener program, ten free plots will be available for local residents. NCOC is asking each gardener to donate 10 percent of their harvest to the Food Pantry. The fresh produce will be used to supplement the staples provided to needy families each month. A planning meeting will be held during the last week of March. If youve ever wanted to try out that green thumb, but dont have the sun or the space, heres your chance to provide your family with locally grown organic produce for free. For more information, call coordinator Kim Repscha at 494-2331.
