Candidates for village election announced

KEESEVILLE The slate of candidates for the 2008 village election has been announced. Mayor Mark J. Whitney will run for re-election to a four-year term. He is being opposed by Meegan Rock. Two four-year trustee positions will also be on the ballot. Incumbent Mary E. King will seek re-election unopposed for one seat, while John S. Casey will seek election to a seat previously held by trustee Steven Johnson. The village election will be held in the Keeseville Civic Center board room, 1790 Main St., Tuesday, March 18, from 12-9 p.m. For more information, contact village clerk Lynn Hathaway at 834-9059.
