Porter Auxiliary oks $36,000 in funds

The Porter Medical Center Auxiliary approved $36,000 in contributions at their recent monthly board meeting in support of projects at Porter Hospital and Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. The contributions will be applied toward two outstanding pledges$10,000 toward a $100,000 pledge in support of the hospitals new North Project modernization, $20,000 toward a $60,000 to meet special needs at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and $6,000 in support of the Porter Hospital Lifeline program. Funds for these contributions come from Auxiliary special events and from the Round Robin thrift shop in the Marble Works Complex. The Round Robin has been the primary source of auxiliary donations to Porter since 1975, and has helped the auxiliary give more than $1 million to Porter over the past 33 years.
