Chamber scholarship golf tournament

MIDDLEBURY The Annual Addison County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place Tuesday, June 24 at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course at Middlebury College. Organizers are planning for an exciting 18 holes of golf, lunch, golf clubs raffle, putting contest, banquet, scholarship recipient recognition, outstanding prizes for participants and a visit from Gov. Jim Douglas. The prizes for hole-in-one competitions include two $10,000 cash holes and a five day cruise for two. Other generously donated prizes include rounds of golf from courses around the state. This years recipient, Travis Betourney, son of Kim and Keith Betourney of Bridport,recently graduated from the Hannaford Career Center and will graduate from Middlebury Union High School shortly. He plans to attend Norwich University to study computer and electrical engineering.
