Police find missing man

CUTTINGSVILLE David Dumas was reported missing from Spring Lake Ranch in Cuttingsville June 1. On June 2, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a nearby resident, driving on the Cold River Road in Shrewsbury, observed a male subject fitting the description of Dumas and notified the Vermont State Police. Vermont State Police in Rutland dispatched a trooper to the area, who confirmed the male subject was Dumas. He was taken to the Rutland Regional Medical Center for evaluation and later released to employees of Spring Lake Ranch. Dumas had been found missing after failing to arrive to take his morning medications. He had been complaining about being in the United States and wished to return to Canada; Dumas holds duel citizenship; his father resides in Canada and his mother resides in the U.S. Dumas may have been enroute to North Hatley, Quebec, where his father has a summer home. Dumas had not taken his medication and it was felt by ranch officials that this could have placed him in danger to himself.
