Oxholm will seek reelection

VERGENNES State Rep. Kitty Oxholm of Vergennes announced she is seeking re-election to the Vermont House of Representatives. She represents Addison-3 district, which includes Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, Vergennes, and Waltham. In her first term she has served on the House Education Committee. Oxholm previously served on the Vergennes City Council for seven years and was Mayor of the little city for four years. She has been active in local organizations and boards, including past service as president of the Bixby Memorial Library Board of Trustees. On July 1, Oxholm will retire from her position as Director of Instructional Support Services for Addison Northwest Supervisory Union. After 34 years of service at Vergennes Union High School and at her current administrative position, Oxholm states her intention to spend full time representing residents of the five communities in the Addison-3 district.
