Vermont Rally this weekend

RUTLAND Vermont Rally, a community project dedicated to motorcycling, is in the final stages of its campaign to bring the first annual event to the area which is scheduled to take place June 6-8. The rally, which will be held at the Vermont State Fairgrounds, will feature many motorcycle themed events which will continue throughout the weekend, such as a Custom Bike Show, CnC Motocross Freestyle Stunt Shows (jumping), ATV Games and Pulls, Garden Tractor Pulls, Bike Rodeos, a Burnout Pit and the Xclusive Freestyle Riders (stunts). ATV events are being held Friday and are organized by the West Rutland ATV Sportsmens Club. Operators are sought to participate. Registration for ATV games begins at 11:30am with games beginning at 1 p.m., and sign-up/weigh-in for pulls begins at 5:30 p.m. with pulls beginning at 7 p.m. The weekend will also be highlighted as a music festival, with 27 live acts rocking out the fairgrounds featuring Duane Carleton and The Backwoods Messiahs, Swamp Cabbage, the Holy Goats, Cell 213, Crazy Hearse, Karl Dietel and 21 more bands for everyone to enjoy.
