WARRENSBURG Jonathan Alexander, a 2000 graduate of Warrensburg High School, is now at work as a free-lance correspondent for the Adirondack Journal, writing news and feature stories. Alexander attended SUNY Oneonta, studying Anthropology and Philosophy. Graduating in 2004 with a notable academic award, he continued his studies at New Mexico Highlands University, where he lectured several undergraduate classes while specializing academically in theoretical anthropology. Since then, hes worked at many laboratories, museums and archaeological sites. His interests include public policy, politics, analytical philosophy, evolutionary theory, fishing and hiking. Alexander describes himself as the consummate liberal artist regularly engaging in intellectual exercises across a wide spectrum of topics. His stint writing for the Adirondack Journal is his first work in the field of journalism. His stories in the newspaper first appeared in the Journals July 12 edition. Alexander is the son of John and Lisa Alexander, who operate funeral homes in Warrensburg and North Creek. Alexander said Tuesday he hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the Adirondack Journal.
