Illegals stopped in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH On July 1, troopers from the Vermont State Police Barracks Troop "C" New Haven, responded to a report of a disabled vehicle along Route 7 in Ferrisburg. Upon arrival, a Arizona registeredvehicle was located in the north bound brake down lane. The vehicle was out of gas. Two subjects were with the vehicle. The female, Marisela Caraveo Torres, age 26, was identified with a State of Arizona I.D. and the male subject, Octavio G. Perez, age 23, had no I.D. and was identified by name and date of birth. Neither Torres nor Perez had any money. The female claimed she was a U.S. citizen, but the male was not. However, both subjects were later checked through the U.S. Border Patrol and were found to be in the country illegally. Border Patrol officers came to the VSP Barracks in New Haven and took custody of the pair.
