Brant Lake Taxi wil take patrons virtually anywhere

BRANT LAKE A newly launched taxi service, operated by two entrepreneurs in town, will take people where they need to go, whether its down the street or to Florida or Manhattan. Brant Lake Taxi & Transport co-owner Don Butler said hes already made arrangements to pick vacationers up in New York City, and to drive snowbirds to and from Florida. People can call 573-4386 at any hour, he said. Well run people or their vehicles wherever and whenever they need to go. Butler is joined by Keith Wilkinson in this enterprise, and they transport people to doctors appointments, to and from area taverns or retail destinations, and from resorts to airports or virtually anywhere, he said. Butler and Wilkinson started their new service in mid-April. Brant Lake Taxi has two vehicles available: a seven-passenger Chevrolet Venture van and a Chevy Caprice. The rates are $1.50 per mile during daytime hours and $2 per mile at night. A run to the Albany Airport from Chestertown, Pottersville, or Horicon area is generally $125, Butler said. Were happy to serve everyones transportation needs, he said.
