LAKE PLACID Come and enjoy an evening of musical entertainment from Annie and the Hedonists, a band with a great lead singer and tight harmonies. Their music covers an eclectic mix of acoustic folk, torchy blues, standards, bluegrass, gospel, early jazz and more. Bring the whole family for a cant-miss musical experience. This special presentation will be held Saturday, July 12 at 8 p.m. at the Adirondack Mountain Clubs High Peaks Information Center, located at Heart Lake in Lake Placid. This presentation is free and open to the public. This presentation is part of the clubs Saturday Evening Lecture Series, funded with support from Stewarts Shops. The Saturday Evening Lecture Series offers presentations on natural history, backcountry recreation, Adirondack history, art, and music. Annie and the Hedonists are an acoustic quartet based in the New York Capital District. Together for over 15 years, their members include: Annie Rosen on lead vocals; Jonny Rosen on guitar and vocals; Steve Fry on guitar, mandolin, trumpet, keyboard, and vocals; and Betsy Fry on bass and vocals. The band has put out two albums, their most recent Moonglow on the Midway, has been rated in the top ten best local CDs by the Albany Times Union.
