Indigo Girls plan Rutland return

RUTLAND Bruce Bouchard of the Paramount Theater, announced the return engagement of the popular Indigo Girls, Tuesday, July 15 at 8 p.m. Back by overwhelmingly popular demand, we are really excited to be having Amy Ray and Emily Saliers back to the Paramount, Bouchard said. After the fast and overwhelming response to their appearance last Season, (resulting in a complete sellout) we are pleased to be on the Indigo Girls tour once again and we want to urge their fans to move quickly, as the Girls are selling really fast. In addition to a broad and varied repertoire, the Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated lesbian icons are one of the most highly-visible environmental and socially active acts in the music industry. With their leftist politics ranging all around the fabric of their music, they are beloved in the industry as first-rate story tellers, with iconic melodies, harmonies and arrangements. After a long run with Epic and Hollywood Records, the Girls are now independent and in possession of all ten tracks for the new C.D. which will be released independently in February 2009.
