BURLINGTON EnerNOC, Inc., a developer and provider of energy solutions, announced last week that it has signed a contract with Burlington Electric Department to deliver up to 10 megawatts of demand response capacity. This capacity will help provide wholesale electricity market pricing stability that will benefit all Burlington ratepayers. EnerNOC currently has a network of commercial, institutional, and industrial sites throughout the Burlington area that provides reliability-based demand response to the Independent System Operator of New England. This new contract is a bilateral agreement directly with Burlington Electric Department to provide a supplemental, economic-based resource that Burlington Electric Department will dispatch during periods of peak demand when electricity on the wholesale market is most expensive.
