LPCA to host first Symphony Series

LAKE PLACID The Lake Placid Sinfoniettas first Symphony Series performance of the 2008 season will take place Sunday, July 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Tickets are $22 and are available at the LPCA box office, 523-2512, Visa and Master Card accepted. Students 18 and under can receive a free ticket by completing a simple form available at the box office. North Country Public Radio is media sponsor for this concert. Guest Conductor Mark Mandarano has programmed this first concert in honor of the great composer J. S. Bach. His Orchestral Suite in B Minor, BWV 1067 will feature orchestra member Ann Lindblom Harrow on flute as soloist. Harrow has performed with the orchestra for many years and is also a professor at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester.
