Expert to talk about Chinese society

The Rutland Osher Lifelong Learning Institute presents the 12 lecture series, Some Early Local Industries. Programs are from 1:30-3 p.m. on Friday afternoons at the Godnick Adult Center, 1 Deer St. (off Woodstock Ave.) in Rutland. For program information or for directions call 773-0184. Next program, Feb. 1, will be A Chinese Experience. Dr. Nance Kittner will present a series of four lectures on China. Kittner has degrees in history from Boston College, McGill University, and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Presently, she is a professor of History and Political Science at the College of St. Joseph and Coordinator of the Greater Rutland Asian Studies Project. Kittner has studied and traveled extensively in China and the Middle East.
