Massage aids health at Keene Fitness

KEENE VALLEY Theres more to massage than just being pampered it can be an intergral part of maintaining good health. At Keene Fitness, a trio of experts work with clients using massage techniques. Bill Stokes and Emily Abruzzi are massage therapists, while Testa performs reflexology and yoga. Our interest and goal is in providing therapeutic massage that functions as complimentary healthcare. Whether it's injury and chronic pain management or preventative healthcare, therapeutic massage can offer an added edge where traditional treatments leave off, said Abruzzi, a graduate of Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy. People who come to me are seeking ways to improve their health, said Testa. Testa said her techniques helped relieve stress and improve health. Stokes, whos been a massage therapist for 12 years, has worked in several spas throughout the region. He said he said massage is maintenance health care, and is appropriate for anyone, ranging from athletes to people with chronic conditions. Keene Fitness has a special room set aside for massage. In it, the client can relax while the therapist works. Theres also a sauna available. Appointments for massage can be made by calling Keene Fitness.
