SARANAC Hill and Hollow Music, a not-for-profit chamber music organization, will host its annual North Country Heritage Festival next weekend, Friday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb. 3. This years event will carry the theme of Cabin Fever Franco-American Heritage Festival, and celebrate French-Canadian culture. Raz-de-Mar_ a traditional Qu_cois classical music ensemble, will kick-off the weekend with performances at schools within and around the Saranac Central School District throughout the day Feb. 1. A concert will be held at Lake Forest Senior Living Community, 8 Lake Forest Drive, Plattsburgh, that night at 6:30 p.m. The performance will be part of the senior living communitys Dinner with a View series, which begins with the serving of Qu_cois cuisine at 5:30 p.m. A dance workshop will be held Feb. 2 at Plattsburgh Elks Lodge 621, 56 Cumberland Ave., also in Plattsburgh. The workshop will be conducted by Ya_e Azoulay, from 2-4 p.m. Cocktails and a five-course tasting of French cuisine will follow at 5:30 p.m., and a mini-concert by Raz-de-Mar_at 7:30 p.m. An open Qu_cois dance will follow. Light Qu_cois fare will be offered at Saranac United Methodist Church, 8 UMC Road in Saranac, Feb. 3 beginning at 1 p.m. Raz-de-Mar_will also five a final performance for the weekend beginning at 3 p.m. For more information, including pricing for events, contact Hill and Hollow Music executive director Angela Brown at 293-7613.
