Cornell University Cooperative Extension Welcomes Rebecca K. Smith

WARRENSBURG Rebecca Smith has joined Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County as Program Coordinator for Tobacco Free School Policy for Warren and Washington Counties. The Tobacco Free School Policy Initiative assists middle and high schools to promote and implement a tobacco-free environment through the development, communication and enforcement of a comprehensive tobacco-free school policy. Previously, Rebecca worked as a Quit Smoking Counselor and Educator for Glens Falls Hospitals Tobacco Cessation Center. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from Plymouth State College, located in Plymouth, New Hampshire and recently completed her TTS (Tobacco Treatment Specialist) Masters Level Certification training through UMass Medical Schools Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control in Worcester, Massachusetts. Rebecca lives in Hudson Falls with her husband Gregory, and son, Peyton. She is also expecting her second child in April.
