Last weeks weather was very spring like, with the better share of our snow gone. I was about to write our snowbirds that they could think about an early return for down south. But the first of this week brought back some more winter like conditions, and we once again have a new white covering of snow. Tom Gillilland was taking his granddaughter out to register to vote this past Monday during a winter storm. Along the way he hit a patch of bad road conditions and ended up in the Boquet River along the way. We are not sure if he was starting a new Polar Dunking event or just hoped for a good car wash. The car did not do so well, but both passengers were not hurt. The St. Johns Episcopal Church in Essex had a very fitting Memorial service for Muriel Maynard Loder this past Sunday. It was followed with a High Tea reception that would have brought much pleasure to Muriel. Doug and Flora June Doyle are proud to announce the arrival of a new grandchild. Brianna Kirsten Doyle was born on 12/14/07 to the parents of Michael &Kristi Doyle. I had the pleasure to serve as the spiritual leader for the Willsboro Congregational Church this past Sunday, always a pleasure to share with them. Our new Supervisor has announced a vacancy on the Willsboro Planning Board. This is an important position to be filled, and is a volunteer appointment. If there is an interested person out there and would like more information contact Lori Lincoln Spooner at the Town Hall. Birthday Greetings to Rita Devan 1/19, Grace Ulig 1/19, Cecile McVicker 1/19, Doug Young 1/19, Bonnie Hathaway 1/21, Lara Belzile 1/23, Chad Strong 1/24, Ron Hammel 1/25.
