Children's books sought for program

BRANT LAKE The Friends of the Horicon Free Public Library will again sponsor its annual Read-A-Book, Pass It On program. Volunteers from the friends have begun collecting new and used books suitable for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade students. A collection box is located in the lobby of the Horicon Community Center. Books will be distributed to the elementary students at North Warren Central School and Head Start on Friday, Feb. 8. The goal of this program is to promote reading for fun. Students will be able to select a book of their choice, and when they have finished reading it, they could pass it on to a friend if they choose.
