RAVNAH appoints new management staff

Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice (RAVNAH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Harry Snyder to the position of Human Resources Director. Snyder brings over 20 years of human resources and operations management experience to the position. Since 2005, Snyder has worked as a human resources consultant, serving a variety of businesses including Southwestern Vermont Health Care in Bennington. Prior to running his own consulting firm, Snyder held the position of Human Resources Director for the City of Burlington, Vermont, managing HR functions for 660 employees and 18 departments and was Director of Human Resources/Budget for the New York City Department of Transportation. RAVNAH has also named Laura Vien to the organization's management team in the position of Marketing/Public Relations Associate. Vien brings more than 25 years experience in advertising, public relations and marketing to this new position. Vien will be responsible for marketing CarePlus, RAVNAH's new private in-home care program, as well as assisting with additional public relations functions. Vien has spent much of her professional career in the Rutland area. She has worked extensively in broadcast media, including WSYB/WZRT and WJJR. She served as the Executive Director of United Way of Rutland County from 1990 to 1998. After leaving that position, she worked as a marketing and public relations consultant for small business and non-profits. She has served on numerous local boards of directors including, among others, Rutland Mental Health, Rutland Health Foundation, James Bowse Health Trust, Rutland Head Start and Rutland Regional Community Television.
