Salavation Army expresses gratitude to donors, volunteers

To the editor: Thank you! As the service unit field representative for the Empire State Division of The Salvation Army for the counties of Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, there are many people and organizations I would like thank: the bell ringer volunteers who gave of their valuable time to ensure that struggling families in our communities receive assistance in emergency situations. the stores and companies who provided kettle stand sites. the shoppers who stopped at the kettles and left their gift to help those in crisis. And, finally, a big thank you to the local media who helped The Salvation Army reach the community during this most important campaign. Together, this team of people in each community has helped to ensure that local families in crisis will receive assistance during the coming year. Our local volunteer service unit committees will be available to respond in the following villages and small towns and their surrounding areas:Essex(AuSable Forks, Elizabethtown, Lake Placid, Port Henry, and Ticonderoga), Franklin(Chateaugay, Malone, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake), Hamilton(Indian Lake and Speculator), Saratoga(Mechanicville and Schuylerville), Warren(Lake George and Warrensburg), Washington(Cambridge, Granville, Greenwich, Salem and Whitehall). In the larger cities of the counties, there is a local Salvation Army facility where services are provided. Thank you so much and may God bless you and keep you safe during the New Year! Rick Damore
