ESSSEX JUNCTION The 16th Annual Yankee Sportsmans Classic Show, sponsored by Chittenden Bank, VT ATV Sportsmans Association, and the New England Dodge dealers will be held at the Robert E. Miller Expo Center in Essex Junction. The Yankee show is a three day, 100,000 sq. ft. event that brings together over 15,000 hunters, anglers, trappers, and their families to celebrate hunting and fishing. During this long weekend, you can attend seminars, check out the latest gear, take advantage of show specials, talk with wildlife and fisheries experts, and even book your next hunting or fishing adventure anywhere in the world. The kids can catch a fish in the free catch and release trout pond, compete in the kids casting competition or take part in the Archery Shoot or BB gun turkey shoot. With nearly 175 exhibitors, there is something for everyone in your family. Special features include The Rainforest Reptile Show & The unbelievable Muzzy 200 Club Monster Buck Display. Have your rack professionally scored and recorded then hang it on the wall of Trophies. There will be appearances by the nationally acclaimed gundog trainer Alec Sparks, and the Benoit deer hunting family with all their 2007 hunting news. FamedMaine deer hunter and Deer & Deer Hunting Magazine Field Editor Dick Bernier will also be presenting seminars. Expert game caller Al Morelli will present several seminars on duck and turkey calling, and Ken Hammel and Dave Hentosh will show you how to call in the big ones! Nick Smith and Jim Norton will share with you their proven fly-fishing tactics and how to land the lunkers. Take a free ATV ride or demo the latest Polaris ATVs on the one mile atv course, compliments of the VT ATV Sportsmans Assoc! A portion of the proceeds is donated to Camp Ta-Kum-ta in Colchester to benefit children terminally ill with cancer. Fishing and hunting are very important to both the culture and the economy of Vermont where 91,000 Vermonters fish and hunt, produce 3,500+ jobs, and spend $258 Million annually. On average 15,000 sportsmen, women and their families attend the show, so please come and join in the largest celebration of fishing, hunting and the great outdoors in northern New England! The Robert E. Miller Expo Center is located just east of 1nterstate 89 Exit 15 on Route 15 at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds. The show hours are Friday, noon 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5p.m. Tickets prices are $10 for adults and $3 for children. A three-day pass is available for $15.
