Cape Air reception postponed due to weather

PLATTSBURGH An informal reception to celebrate the addition of Cape Air service at Plattsburgh International Airport has been postponed due to the forecast for inclement weather tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 26. In an announcement from Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce president Garry F. Douglas, Mr. Douglas stated the reception will be held at a date to be determined. Cape Air, an air service provider based out of Hyannis, Mass., officially began offering nonstop service to and from Boston at Plattsburgh International Airport Feb. 12. The airline offers three nonstop flights daily to and from Bostons Logan International Airport. Flights from Plattsburgh International depart at 6:35 a.m., 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and flights from Logan International arrive at 10:29 a.m., 12:20 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. Cape Air joins existing service to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Fla., offered by Allegiant Air. Myrtle Beach Direct Air and Tours is scheduled to begin service to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and St. Petersburg, Fla., March 15.
