Ti EMS personnel receive praise

To the Times of Ti: I am writing this letter in regards to the town of Ticonderoga and the Ticonderoga Police Department that so many take for granted and I feel, as I am leaving, I need to toot their horn and set the record straight. I have worked for the town of Ticonderoga at the Ticonderoga police station for a little over a year as a public safety dispatcher. When I first joined this team I knew very little about fire, ambulance or police. These teams of people literally had to start at the bottom and build me up, teach me the ins and outs, which took a tremendous amount of time and effort. Although many times I was frustrated and thought of getting done, I was encouraged by my whole team of officers to stick it out and that I was doing well. A little over a year later I have developed a passion for the profession and a tremendous amount of respect for all the people that serve our communities in Ticonderoga and surrounding towns. I often wonder how often people stop and think about people that take unpaid time from their jobs and families to serve our community. If they dont, well they should. As for the police force here in Ticonderoga, I have never worked with such a good bunch of people in all my life. When I first applied for the position there was a lot of negative talk about the police force here in Ti. Wrong, wrong, wrong. These men and ladies out it all on the table and serve their community with such compassion and professionalism. Not only do these men and women have a strong relationship with the state police, but with many surrounding agencies. I guess unless you are here and see these men and women in action you would really have no idea how dedicated these people are to their job; not only to their jobs, but to their families and community. As you can see, I have the upmost respect for this fabulous team of people and think from the inside looking out our community should be aware of all the fine qualities these men and women hold to serve their community. My job here is ending due to the county take over. As a single mom of two I will dearly miss my position here in Ticonderoga and have hopes to get into the county to pursue my passion of public safety dispatcher. To the town of Ticonderoga, Ticonderoga Ambulance Squad, Ticonderoga Fire Department and Ticonderoga Police Department I would like to thank you for your effort and patience and for taking the time to teach me what so many take for granted, which is compassion and team work. Know that each and every one of you have impacted my life and outlook on life in a very positive manner. I wish you all the best and most of all want to say, thank you and keep up the good work.
