Bluseed studios to host blues musician this Saturday

SARANAC LAKE Bluseed Studios presents Saturday Night Scene with Steve Langdon on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday Night Scene is an off-season, Saturday evening music series that showcases regional and nationally recognized professional musicians at Bluseed Studios. The purpose of this showcase is to bring quality artists and performances to the community at an affordable price. Admission is $10 for non-members, $8 members and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Langdon has been performing blues and original music locally and abroad since the early 1990s. He plays a mix of 1920s and 30s Delta and Piedmont blues along with original tunes. His finger style and slide arrangements of the traditional blues are uncluttered with the influences of modern rock and roll, while his original tunes are inspired by musicians that range from Bruce Cockburn to Blind Willie McTell. In the late 1990s Steve toured extensively in Northern Germany with the Professor Washboard Band based in Hamburg, and appears on Professor Washboard's Prime Partner's 2000 CD. All Saturday Night Scene performances are sponsored in part by The Rivendell Foundation and Arts Council of Northern Adirondack's DCA grant via NYS. Council on the Arts. Bluseed Studios was established for artists to diverge, experiment, exhibit and perform while introducing diverse aesthetics' and promoting art awareness in the community.
