The snow banks are really high around town, one really has to get right out in the road before you can see on coming traffic. Many thanks to the Highway Department as they went around on each street this past week and pushed the snow back in preparation for the next dumping of snow. I had several local errands this past Monday and everywhere I went found I found people that have been or are coming down with something that really seems to take the life out of them, sickness abounds. I was glad to hear that Ethel Hathaway who recently suffered a heart attack is now back home recovering after her surgery. We are all hoping that she recovers fully so that Ethels Dew Drop Inn can open this summer. This is a very popular place in the summer season. Drop her a card or a call to let her know of you good wishes. Another person that you might like to send a note to is Lucy Belzile, she is spending the winter months with her out of town daughter Dian. She does miss her local friends and will be gone until early spring. Her address is 910 -16th St., Bellingham, WA 98225, sorry we missed her recent birthday, but greeting are always welcome. Three recent deaths affected several families here in the community. So we send our sympathy to the families of Alice Hulburt, Donald (Red) Bigelow, and William (Bill) Dickens. They will all be missed, but they all leave some wonderful memories.
