Twelve Angry Men' to be presented by Pendragon Theatre

PLATTSBURGH The State University of New York at Plattsburgh will present the Pendragon Theatre production of Twelve Angry Men, by Reginald Rose this Saturday, Feb. 16, at the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. General admission for this event is $10. SUNY Plattsburgh staff and seniors will be charged $8, and SUNY Plattsburgh students are $2. The theater department and the Student Association are sponsoring this event through the Campus Arts Council. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Twelve Angry Men is an examination of the American melting pot and our judicial system. Playwright Rose skillfully sets in opposition twelve diverse people, an accusation and one mans belief in reasonable doubt. All have the same task. All have to coexist in one room. They wrestle with their responsibility to each other, themselves and the system. On a sweltering summer evening, the jury room erupts into a powerful debate which ultimately forces each man to face himself. Pendragon Theatre is the Adirondacks only year-round professional theater. It is supported in part by public funds from The New York State Council on the Arts, a New York State agency, and by the National Endowment for the Arts. For more information, call 564-2243.
