TICONDEROGA The Ticonderoga Community Program Series will present Historic Ticonderoga in Pictures Friday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Ticonderoga Community Building. The program is designed by Bill Dolback, Ticonderoga historian, and hosted by the Ticonderoga Historical Society. Dolback returns with a new program, a program sure to invoke fond memories with his walk down memory lane. He will present a slide show of history, depicting the evolution and growth of Ticonderoga during the late 19th Century to the mid 20th Century. His collection of old photographs of people and places represent the commercial, industrial and social aspects of Ticonderoga. Perhaps youll see yourself or recognize your grandparents in some of the photographs, Dolback said. Dolback welcomes audience participation in his programs, promising to add much spirit and humor. Please invite your friends and neighbors and attend this presentation for an evening of fun and nostalgia, he said. Born and raised in Ticonderoga, Dolback is the town of Ticonderoga historian and the president of the Ticonderoga Historical Society. A Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Navy, he holds board positions in several local and civic organizations and is an active member of his community. Retired from government service, Dolback is currently a realtor with Real Estate Innovations. The program is free and made possible, in part, by a grant from the South Lake Champlain Trust.
