Film rescheduled for Friday

LAKE PLACID The Lake Placid Center for the Arts Winter Film Series has rescheduled A Mighty Heart for Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Based on a true story, Angelina Jolie stars as Mariane Pearl, the widow of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Daniel was kidnapped and executed in Pakistan in 2002, and the film centers on the frantic activities leading up to his death. Tickets are $6 and reservations are not accepted for the series. The Winter Award Winning Film Series continues: Saturday, March 1, Once; March 7, Black Book; March 21, Manufactured Landscapes. The LPCA Film Series is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
