College student missing

A Middlebury College student has been missing since Feb. 5. College officials said Nicholas Garza, age 19, is a first-year student and a resident of Albuquerque, N.M. Officials said Garza was on campus during the college's winter break and did not go home. He was last observed in Allen Hall and apparently left the building without a top coat. The Garza family has been notified of the students disappearance. "Naturally, it's a cause for huge concern. We're a small campus and word travels fast. We always want to resolve this issue as soon as possible as any college would," Dean Tim Spears told news reporters Feb. 10. Middlebury Police are asking anyone who might have seen Garza on campus or beyond to call them at (802) 388-3191. A Feb. 12 search was suspended until a later date.
