Clinton County Court sentencings

PLATTSBURGH The following sentencings of local residents, furnished by the Clinton County District Attorneys office, were recorded in Clinton County Court during the month of January. Jason Annette, 27, Tupper Lake, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced Jan.30 to one year in jail and a fine and surcharge totaling $1,295. Jason Clark, 32, Chazy, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced Jan. 18 to five years probation with Clinton County Drug Court, a $295 surcharge, and $1,500 in fines. Jeremy Baumann, 28, Vermontville, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced Jan. 3 to five years probation, DNA sample and fee; $3,000 fine and $320 surcharge. Casimiro Cayetano, 21, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced Jan. 11 to one to three years in state prison on each count to run concurrently, restitution, DNA sample and fee, $525 surcharge, $1,000 fine on DWI. Jennifer Patrie, 26, Peru, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree forgery and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. She was sentenced Jan. 3 to two to four years in state prison. Robert LaJoy, III, 20, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced Jan. 3 to 2 1/3 -7 in years prison, fines, surcharge, DNA, stay away order of protection, and restitution. John Munson, 20, Chazy, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree burglary. He was sentenced Jan. 2 to 1-3 years in prison; surcharge; DNA fee; and restitution. James Gilpin, Jr., 40, Morrisonville, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 1-3 years in state prison, fine, surcharge, license revocation. James Guerin, 17, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree grand larceny. He was sentenced Jan. 3 to 2-4 years as a second felony offender to run consecutively to time on other case; restitution; DNA sample; fines; and surcharges. James Guerin, 17, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny. He was sentenced Jan. 3 to 2-4 years as a second felony offender to run consecutively to time on other case; restitution; DNA sample; fines; and surcharges. Michelle Gilpin, 38, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. She was sentenced Jan. 2 to five years probation, $1,295 fine and surcharge; DNA sample and fee. John Wells, III, 33, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired-drugs and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was sentenced Jan. 2 to five years probation with Clinton County Drug Court; $500 fine on each charge and $295 surcharge. Gary Frederick, 58, West Chazy, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced Jan. 23 to four months of weekends in jail, five years probation and fines. Brian Blaise, 26, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree burglary and endangering the welfare of a child. He was sentenced Jan. 23 to six months in jail, five years probation, restitution, fine, and 50 hours community service. Sherry Demarais, 64, Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty to second-degree endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person. She was sentenced Jan. 2 to five years probation, 300 hours community service, DNA, and an order of protection.
