LAKE GEORGE A unique partnership to bring professional business development services to the Lake George community will be unveiled at a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce office. Chamber Executive Director Luisa Sherman said the North Country Small Business Development Center is partnering with the chamber to establish a satellite office at the Lake George Chamber offices at 2176 State Route 9 in Lake George. Development Center business advisors will be available weekly by appointment to offer new existing businesses consulting services, Sherman said. The Lake George Regional Chamber has had an ongoing partnership with the NCSBDC for over a year which has provided chamber members and the general public with business development workshops, Sherman said. The North Country Small Business Development Center (SBDC), part of the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh is located at 194 US Oval (old base) in Plattsburgh . The North Country SBDC works one-on-one in a confidential setting with emerging, existing and expanding entrepreneurs, providing the services at no cost to clients in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Warren and Nor the rn Washington counties and has done so for more 22 years. The North Country SBDC is part of a statewide program funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the State University of New York.
