Arthur Road Bridge hearings set

KEESEVILLE The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will host two public information meetings to present information and answer questions about a proposed project to replace the Arthur Road Bridge over Interstate 87 in the Town of Au Sable in Clinton County. Two meeting sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 4:3-5:30 p.m., and again from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Town of Au Sable Town Hall, located at 111 Au Sable Street, Keeseville, New York 12944. The department is developing design alternatives for the bridge project which begins just west of the existing bridge and terminates just east of the existing bridge. It is anticipated that traffic will be maintained off-site by means of a short detour route using County Route 38, Grove Street and NYS Rte 22. Delays are expected to be minimal. The purpose of this meeting is to obtain comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials and local agencies. The department is specifically soliciting comments on the development of alternates for the project, the proposed traffic plan, and the project's social, economic and environmental effects. Interested individuals who are not able to attend on this date may obtain project information by writing to: Scott A. Docteur, P.E., Director, Planning & Program Management, NYS Department of Transportation, Room 706, Dulles State Office Bldg., 317 Washington Street, Watertown, 13601
