McCain to visit Vermont

SOUTH BURLINGTON Republicans either love him or hate himU.S. Sen. John Sidney McCain (R-Arizona)American politician, war hero, and GOP presidential frontrunner will make a brief campaign rally appearance in Vermont on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 11:30 a.m. He will stop at the Atlantic Aviation hanger at the Burlington International Airport, 1130 Airport Dr., in South Burlington. Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas, who announced his support for McCain last month, will be on hand to introduce the former Vietnam War hero and POW. McCane was last in Vermont in May 2007. At that time, he visited Hinesburg, Vt., on behalf of Vermonts Republican candidates during the 2007 campaign season. We have come a long way in this campaign, and we have had our ups and downs, McCain said Feb. 12 after winning several state victories in East Coast primaries. We do not yet know for certain who will have the honor of being the Democratic Party's nominee for president. But we know where either of their candidates will lead this country, and we dare not let them. They will promise a new approach to governing, but offer only the policies of a political orthodoxy that insists the solution to government's failures is to simply make it bigger.
