Recent shoppers at a Friends of the Chester Library Book Sale

CHESTER The Friends of the Chester Library are fine tuning their wares for their next book sale at the Chester Municipal Building, Main Street, Chestertown, on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22, 23 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Offered for sale will be new and nearly new hard and soft cover books for readers of all ages, a variety of magazines, books on tape, DVDs, CDs, videos, audio tapes, and puzzles, Amongst the 70-plus book categories are current and classic novels, children's books, coffee table books, mysteries, biographies, history, non-fiction, romance, self-help, home improvement, religion, crafts, and large print materials. Large in number this year are a variety of attractive cookbooks, recently published and seasoned. A book sale favorite is the category of Popular Authors, sorted and organized for easy selection. There are large collections of Adirondack Life magazines and National Geographics as well. For those who still have their record turntables, there is a vast collection of 33 1/3 records available. Please join the Friends in supporting the Town of Chester Library with a purchase of your favorite reading/ viewing/listening materials. Our community is most generous in offering gently used materials for presentation at this sale for the benefit of the library. The Friends appreciate both the donors' generosity and the purchasers' participation at their sales.
