NCCS tops Moriah for conference championships

Northeastern Clinton clinched the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys and girls bowling titles by beating Moriah Feb. 5. NCCS won the boys match, 9-1, despite Moriahs Caleb Armstrong who had a 175 game and 474 series. NCCS won the girls match, 4-0. Sam Brown had a 357 set and Rachelle Woods a 334 for Moriah. Moriah loses Moriah lost to Beekmantown in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling action Jan. 30. The Vikings dropped the boys match, 10-0, despite a 211 game and 557 series by Caleb Armstrong. Moriah lost the girls match, 4-0. Melinda Smith had a 151 game and 404 set for the Vikings. Ticonderoga falls Ticonderoga lost to Northeastern Clinton in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling action Jan. 30. The Sentinels was beaten 8-2 in the boys match. Peter Cobb had a 257 game and 636 series, Alex LaFrance a 207 game and 563 set and Alex Yaw a 203 game and 540 series for Ti. Ticonderoga lost the girls match, 3-1. Megan McDonough had a 198 game and 500 series for the Sentinels, while Andrea OHara added a 499 and Alanna Swinton a 482. Sentinels win Ticonderoga downed Plattsburgh, 3-1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls bowling action Feb. 4. Alanna Swinton fired a 191 game and 516 series to pace the Sentinels. Ti lost the boys match, 6-4. Alex Yaw had a 244 game and 646 set, Dakota OConnor had a 210-59 and Peter Cobb added a 213-558 for Ticonderoga. Vikings roll Moriah beat AuSable Valley, 4-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls bowling action Feb. 4. Melinda Smith had a 381 series to lead the Vikings. Moriah lost the boys match, 8-2. Caleb Armstrong rolled a 502 series for the Vikings. Ti beaten Ticonderoga lost to Beekmantown in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling action Feb. 5. The Sentinels dropped the boys match, 9-1. Dakota OConnor had a 224 game and 616 series for Ti. Ticonderoga lost the girls match, 4-0. Mara Haskell recorded a 200 game and 5551 set for the Sentinels.
