This Season ROCKS!

This week we would like to introduce a new column to the News Enterprise, brought to you by Emily Stanton, Gore Mountain Marketing Manager. Welcome Emily, thank you, and have fun! -Brett. Hello Friends, Im thrilled about our new column Rumor Has It, so we can reach out to you about everything Gore! This season absolutely ROCKS. Between opening the new Northwoods Lodge by Lincoln Logs and bringing the first-ever aerial lift to the North Creek Ski Bowl, as well as adding three new snowmaking pumps and another groomer while starting the Burnt Ridge Mountain Expansion, weve had our hands full. But the hard work always pays off, as we get to see the mountain improve every day. More and more people are recognizing that Gore is the place to be. Mike and some of our snowmaking team are on their way to New York City to spread out the white stuff in Central Park. That will make for a fun WinterFest and Rail Jam to get people excited about snow, and then head north to enjoy MORE GORE! Here are your weekly Gore scoops:
We opened The Rumor last weekend to the delight of all of our awesome experts- have fun! Midweek destination business abounds! This past week we hosted several events including a PSIA Trees & Steeps Clinic, a PSIA Race Techniques Clinic, a NYSSRA Coaches Clinic, and the JIII Speed Camp is currently in town. Thanks to all of our guests for visiting, and to our area lodging properties that keep them so comfortable! On Saturday, you've got your choice of new one-day clinics! Just $135 ($100 for passholders) provides a full day of instruction with our certified coaches, your lift ticket, and breakfast and lunch. Theres either Burton Learn-to-Ride for beginner snowboarders, or Adventure Skiers for intermediate and better alpine skiers. There are great one-day clinic options on Saturdays throughout February. On Sunday check out Telemark Day- with demos, discounted clinics, and tele racing! Telemark skiing is a great opportunity for you to bring new challenge to an established skill, and grab a great workout in the process. So get on the mountain and enjoy the great conditions. Youre so lucky to have Gore right in your backyard. Look for me out there and say hello.
