Moriah came from behind to beat Saranac Lake, 35-31, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 18.

Trailing in the third period, the Vikings went on a 10-3 run to grab the lead. It was a see-saw game from that point.

Trailing by a point, Moriah got the game-winning hoop from Ashleigh Allen with 33 seconds to play.

Kaycee Kolodzey had eight points for the Vikings

Peru 71, Ticonderoga 19

Ticonderoga lost to Peru, 71-19, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 15.

Peru raced to a 23-4 lead and never looked back.

Samantha Diehl had six points for Ti.

Plattsburgh 48, Moriah 23

Moriah fell to Plattsburgh, 48-23, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 16.

Samantha Slattery had eight points for Moriah, which fell behind 9-2 and never recovered.

NCCS 79, Ticonderoga 34

Northeastern Clinton downed Ticonderoga, 79-34, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 18.

Ti led after a quarter, 17-14, but NCCS closed the half with a 24-3 run to take control of the game.

Julie Thompson had 12 points and Samantha Diehl 10 for Ti.

Schroon Lake 51, Wells 25

Schroon Lake routed Wells, 51-25, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 8.
