Wilderness Views unveiled at Widlund Gallery

NORTH CREEK - Local award-winning photographer Tony Beaver is proud to announce his photography exhibit "Wilderness Views" at The Widlund Gallery, located in the Tannery Pond Community Center.

The exhibit runs from Dec. 31, 2008 to Jan. 28, 2009, with an artist reception, open to the public, being held Jan. 2 from 5-7 p.m.

The nature photographer won first place, macro division, in Adirondack Life magazine's 2008 annual photography contest.

Beaver has spent decades hiking, fishing, boating and hunting the Adirondack Mountains. During this time, he has had the honor of witnessing all of nature's emotions as well as the detail of her beauty. Beaver has made it his mission to capture this beauty for all to see and his passion for nature is clearly visible in all of his work.

His photographs have also recently been shown at the Lapham Gallery in Glens Falls and Photosho 08, in Keene Valley.

The Widlund Gallery in Tannery Pond Community Center is located at 228 Main Street in North Creek and is open from Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays when the "Open" flag is out. For gallery information, call 251-2421 or visit the website at www.tpcca.org.
