BURLINGTON - Sara C. Blum, president and treasurer of PostScript, Inc., the Burlington-based marketing and public relations firm, was named as a board member to the YWCA, the Young Women's Christian Association.
Blum will work in concert with other board members to uphold the mission of the YWCA to support programs that eliminate racism, provide opportunities for growth, leadership and power for women and girls of all ages, races, cultures and creeds.
Prior to joining PostScript, Blum worked in the Executive Vice Chancellor of Business, Planning and Finance office at the University of Tennessee. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
"I am honored to be part of the YWCA's long-standing and important mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. As a woman and the leader of a business, I am passionate about empowering other women and girls to achieve their dreams," said Blum.
Blum joins five new members including Susan Dorn, Elizabeth Haag, Jean Hamilton, Jane Hill and Regina Toolin, all of whom were inducted at the YWCA's Annual Meeting of Members at ECHO. The board of directors was officially installed by the Hon. Rita Flynn Villa.
